In shots fired near a university campus in Baltimore in the US state of Maryland sseveral people were hit. The Baltimore police announced late Tuesday evening on the online service X, formerly known as Twitter, that they were on duty because of shots fired on the grounds of Morgan State University.
Police reported several victims and advised: “Please stay put and avoid the area.”
University in Baltimore warns students following shooting
The university also appealed to students and their families not to stay in the affected area. The university is a historically African-American institution with around 9,000 students.
