The Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City reported that the shooting derived from an attempted assault that was foiled on an account holder in the vicinity of the shopping plaza, in which one assailant lost his life, another was injured and one of the police elements with a blow to the head.
The head of the SSC, Omar García Harfuch, explained that colleagues from the capital dependency frustrated the robbery of an account holder, “One of the assailants lost his life, another assailant is wounded and a colleague injured with a blow to the head”explained in Twitter.

This exchange of shots was recorded on Calle 11 de Abril and Rio Becerra, in the Benito Juárez mayor’s office, and after the events the area was cordoned off so that experts from the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) could collect the first indications after the death of the suspected assailant.
