A 33-year-old man was shot in both legs on Friday around 6 p.m. in the borough of Montreal-Nord.

The victim and a friend were walking on Boulevard Rolland when a dark vehicle allegedly approached them and shots were heard at that time reaching one of the two passers-by, a 33-year-old man.
The man was injured in both legs according to Raphaël Bergeron, media relations officer for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). The bullets went through each leg and came out.
He then managed to take refuge inside a dwelling located not far from where the 911 call was made.
The man was transported to the Sacré-Coeur Hospital, and his life is not in danger.
The victim was conscious and breathing at the time of transport, the spokesman said, and he would cooperate with the authorities. The man explains badly why to have been the target of such an attack.
The other person accompanying him was not hit.
A dark vehicle was seen leaving the scene following the events and investigators were heading in the evening to gather information, meet with potential witnesses and see if CCTV cameras picked up any footage of the attack.
