The Peacemaker series is one of HBO Max’s biggest successes and now its protagonist has been given a date in Mortal Kombat 1, the most recent game in the Warner franchise (check out our review of it here). The announcement was made by NetherRealm with the release of a trailer showing the scams and fatality of the antihero.

In the trailer we can see that the Peacemaker who will be in Mortal Kombat 1 will be played by John Cena, the same actor present in the HBO Max series. The Portuguese version will have the same voice actor from the series, which makes everything even more fun.

Speaking of blows, the Peacemaker will be able to use various weapons such as his pistol, the Eagly water and his helmet with different powers such as anti-gravity, shield and even the sonic explosion combined with the jet backpack for the fatality.

The character will be available through Early Access on February 28, 2024 for those who purchased the Premium and Collector’s versions of Mortal Kombat 1, but will also be released to all players on March 6.

It is also possible to note that the trailer makes a clear reference to the HBO Max series with the dance performed by Pacificador that went viral and already has more than 16 million views on YouTube.

With the debut of the new character, NetherRealm announced that it will also release crossplay between PS5, PC, Xbox Series S|X and Nintendo Switch players in private clashes, Kombat League and Kasuais Matches.

In addition to the Peacemaker, the trailer also confirms that Mortal Kombat 1 will feature Janet Cage, the female version of Johnny Cage. She will arrive in the game as a Kameo character and will be available until the end of March for free. Captain Patria and Takahashi Takeda should arrive in the game in the coming months.
