Shopping while saving, in a marked inflationary context for nearly three years, is the whole objective of the Prix.nc application, launched with the support of the government of New Caledonia within the framework of actions to fight against cost of living carried out by the government.
A presentation as well as a demonstration of the use of the application are made during the dedicated presentation, inside Station N, this Monday, July 31.
With Prix.nc, more than 80,000 products are recorded and their prices updated, collected automatically on a weekly basis for commercial surfaces of more than 350m², and manually, on a quarterly basis, for all other commercial surfaces.
Overall, more than 10 million prices will be collected and updated each quarter, in more than a hundred stores in the territory, and users will thus be able, thanks to the application, to compose their basket in real time, and analyze the price differences for each brand in the territory.
The application is part of the strategy put in place by the government to fight against rising prices, in parallel with the revaluation of the SMG, the discount at the pump, or the implementation of interprofessional agreements on a list of 60 consumer products.
