According to TechCrunch, the social shopping feature is being launched today under the name “Consult-a-Friend”, “Consult-a-Friend” in direct translation.
With it, you can ask a friend to review a product on Amazon that you are interested in and the response can contain anything from emojis to a full text saying what they thought.
To use the new feature, simply log into the Amazon app, choose a product and check the “Ask a friend’s opinion” option in the share box. The generated link will take your friend to a dedicated page in the store where they can react with an emoji or write what they think about the product and you will receive a notification showing their review.
The resource will only be accessible to people who have an Amazon account, so you and your friend need to have the store’s app installed on your cell phone and logged into your own account to evaluate and ask for opinions.
The new feature is being launched today in Australia, Belgium, Canada, USA, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sweden, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
