Kozhikode: K Muraleedharan MP whether Narendra Modi should investigate the state school arts festival welcome song controversy. Kalothsavam is a program organized by the state government. Therefore, K Muraleedharan accused the government and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of being morally responsible for this.
Education Minister V Sivankutty was there the entire time. Chairman Mohammad Riaz who is also from Kozhikode district was also there. K Muraleedharan asked how that welcome song came without the knowledge of both of them. He also demanded that the Chief Minister should apologize to the minority community of this country.
At the same time, Education Minister V Sivankutty said that the Perampra Mata Kendra, which presented Drishya Vishkaram, will not be given another chance. The visual was screened before it was presented on stage. The Minister of Education stated that there was no controversial role then.
The CPIM Kozhikode District Secretariat also came forward demanding action after the video became controversial. The district secretariat said in a statement that the CPIM is taking the incident which has drawn criticism seriously. The District Secretariat also stated that the introduction of a person in Muslim garb to portray a terrorist in the video is in fact against the stated stand and approach of the LDF government and the Kerala community.
