Sicario killed Neider in El Bosque and there are already 300 homicides in Cartagena | THE UNIVERSAL

Neider Andrés Cervantes Becerra published what would be his last photo on the social network Facebook at 10 am on Tuesday, November 1st. Almost nine hours later, shortly before 8 pm, he became the first victim of a homicide this month in Cartagena.

The young man who accompanied Neider, identified as Jesús David Montero and known as ‘el Flaco de La Pauta’, is fighting for his life in an ICU at the Caribbean University Hospital.

With the death of Cervantes Becerra, the murders in Cartagena reached the figure of 300, with 59 days left until the end of 2022. Of those cases, 192 have been under the modality of hired assassins.

August, with 38 homicides, is the most violent month of the year, followed by October, which ended with 36, twenty-six of those acts in hitmen, this being the month with the most murders under that modality.

There were homicides last year in Cartagena and December was the month with the highest number of cases, with 28.

As of August 31, the oldest victim murdered by hitmen in Cartagena was 69 years old and the youngest was a 24-month-old baby. Both events took place in the Olaya Herrera neighborhood. March 31 was the day with the most hitmen (6) and by gender, the victims were 147 men and 4 women.
