Doha: The sale of Sidra fruits and honey has started at the Al Masrua Yard in Umm Salal, an agricultural market.
The 10-day fair is being held under the supervision of the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Municipal Affairs. 15 local farms producing sidra fruit and 10 farms producing honey are participating.
It operates from 7 am to 2 pm. The market is till February 4. Such fairs are held to encourage local farmers to sell their produce directly without any middlemen.
