Simultaneous online Steam has surpassed 28 million players

SteamDB fixed new record for the number of concurrent online players on Steam. The service, as expected, crossed 28 million players. The record now stands at an impressive 28,230,853 people set yesterday followingnoon.

At the same time, the number of simultaneous players in games has not yet exceeded 10 million. This is the next milestone.

Naturally, everything was very much influenced by the covid and how much time people spend at home, and not in places where they might be in their free time. For comparison, in January 2019 there were 17.6 million online, and a year ago – 25.4 million.

I wonder how long the current record will last?
