The Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor died of natural causes at the age of 56, as revealed this Tuesday by the South Inner Coroner’s Court in London, England.

With this information, the court has closed the investigation into the death of O’Connor, who had had suicidal thoughts.

In July, the artist’s relatives announced her death while she was finishing a new album, preparing a tour and planning to bring her autobiography to the screen.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinéad. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time,” her family said previously.

In 2022, his 17-year-old son Shane took his own life following a long battle with mental illness.

During her mourning, O’Connor was hospitalized following publicly confessing that she was considering suicide.
