Singer-songwriter Karim Ouellet dies at 37

The singer-songwriter Karim Ouellet was found dead in his residence, Monday evening in Quebec.

The news has been confirmed by the Coroner’s Office, which will have to establish the circumstances – unknown at the moment – which led to his death.

This sudden and unexpected disappearance created a shock wave within the music industry as well as on social networks.

Born in Dakar, Senegal, Karim Ouellet celebrated his 37th birthday last December.

The artist from Quebec has released his first solo album, Plume, in 2011. His second opus, Fox, released in 2012, was crowned best French-language album at the Juno Awards in 2014. Fox also garnered a number of nominations at the 2013 ADISQ Gala, in addition to blackmailing Quebec with its success love.

Four years later, the young artist published Thirty and reportedly working on new material.
