When the choir director Marina and her husband Roman Schacherl on the guitar invite you to “Open Singing” in the Literaturgarten St. Florian on June 30th, then a series of summer events will start, which three years ago by the friends Bernd Schützeneder (mayor of St. Florian) and Jörg-D. “Jacky” Hanzanz (musician and cultural mediator) was brought into being.
In the middle of the pandemic, culture should be safe and experienceable in compliance with legal measures.
That time has passed, but the St. Florian garden concerts have remained, offering relaxation, deceleration and joie de vivre in a small but fine setting.
The community of St. Florian is offering this free cultural program again this year. You are welcome to bring seating, food and drinks for your own use, there are no predetermined seats and there are no bars. The concerts always start at 7 p.m. In bad weather, they move to the Altes Kino St. Florian.
After singing together on the last Friday in June, there are eight more garden concerts with artists from the region such as the Mühlbach Buam (July 21), Vici Wall & Enamore Quartet (July 28), Carin Cosa Light Crew (1 September) and Denis & the Stiftskellerkombo (September 15).
