Six activists only in an event in Gatineau for the PLQ

The Outaouais, which has long been recognized as a stronghold of the Quebec Liberal Party, seems to have abandoned leader Dominique Anglade.

Only six people showed up at a militant dinner organized by the PLQ on Thursday evening in the riding of Hull.

“That’s a party that abandons its leader and it’s very surprising,” said political analyst Emmanuelle Latraverse.

However, the PLQ has won the riding of Hull for more than 40 years.

The Parti Québécois also organized an event with its activists in the city of Gatineau on Thursday evening.

About 160 people attended this gathering, which is a good sign according to Emmanuelle Latraverse.

“The old separatists who cling to the dream of a country are still just as committed. We felt chef Paul St-Pierre Plamondon very comfortable,” she said.
