Six injured after a crash with a police car in Cologne

The police had been called to a fight. As they turned their car down a street, police said a taxi came towards them. The taxi driver was probably unable to brake in time and drove sideways into the patrol car. The police car then overturned and landed on its roof.

Both the 27-year-old driver and her 24-year-old passenger were injured in the impact. The four passengers in the taxi also sustained injuries. All six were taken to hospitals.

The two police officers were able to leave the hospital once more, the police spokesman said the severity of the injuries to the other people was unknown. The exact cause of the accident is still unclear.
