The Sigma Olomouc U18 and U16 teams played the 21st round of the Moravian-Silesian Youth League in Třinec already on Friday. The 18th lost with a goal from the 88th minute 1:0. The 16, on the other hand, scored two goals at the end of the second half to get points in Silesia after a 2:0 win.
The senior youth match was played on a large Třinec field, Sigma started well in the very beginning of the match, but after ten minutes the engine seemed to seize up and she started playing slowly on the ball, it took everything for the players and Třinec got into the game. Sigma had one chance in the first half, the home side had two penetrations from the side, but neither team made a breakthrough. The half ended with a well-deserved 0:0 draw.
In the second half, Hanáci again attacked well from the start, they succeeded in their fast game. However, Třinec gained the upper hand over time. He had four chances, which were a warning for Sigma’s defense. In the 88th minute, he decided his victory 1:0. In the next round, on Sunday, April 21, the 18-team hosts Líšeň from Brno at home in Řepčín from 10:30.
Coach’s rating Peter Kobylik:
“It was not a good performance from us today. The opponent won deservedly, except for a few moments we were slow on the ball and without it. When it didn’t work for us in combination, we couldn’t replace it with agility and combativeness. What decorated us the last two games was completely gone. We didn’t keep the ball up, some players played below their average performance. Even so, we should have kept it 0:0, but the opponent scored in the end. It was our inactivity that decided.”

The sixteen tried to conquer the Třinec gate from the beginning of the duel. Right at the start, Jiří Pšenica got a chance after an individual action, the home goalkeeper saved. Then Sigma had pressure, but the final pass did not go well, similar to the home game with Zbrojovka Brno.
In the second half, Sigma continued to perform well and were able to find open spaces and great chances came. Tomáš Hilbert and Maxim Horák went for the goal themselves, but did not score. It wasn’t until the 77th minute that Hanáci got a chance, when Tomáš Sandr got through after a corner kick. Three minutes later, substitute Marek Di Cuia added a goal insurance, who brilliantly went through three players and finished. Then Maxim Horák could have added a third goal from close range, but he overshot and the home team could have equalized in the setup, fortunately their header from the corner was headed by the Sigma defense from the goal line.
Sigma Olomouc U16 will play in the next round on Sunday, April 21. at home in Řepčín from 12:45 against Brno Líšna.
