[인포스탁데일리=김영택 기자] SK Innovation recorded good operating profit in the third quarter of this year.
This is the result of a large surplus in the oil business due to the rise in oil prices, and the lowest operating loss in the battery division, SK On, in any quarter ever.
SK Innovation announced on the 3rd that its sales in the third quarter were KRW 19.8891 trillion, a 13% decrease compared to the same period last year, and operating profit was KRW 1.5631 trillion, a surge of 122%.
It turned from a deficit in the second quarter to a surplus in just one quarter.
Looking at each business sector, the oil business recorded a surplus of KRW 1.1125 trillion, escaping the deficit last quarter.
The chemical business recorded a surplus of 237 billion won, up 66.8 billion won from the previous quarter, due to increased inventory profits due to the rise in naphtha prices.
Profitability has also improved due to the rise in raw material prices in the lubricant business.
Although the battery business was unable to escape the deficit, sales continued to grow, reaching KRW 3.1727 trillion, a 45% increase over the same period last year.

In particular, Amogy has proven its applicability to drones, tractors, and trucks by packaging an ammonia pyrolysis device and hydrogen fuel cell, and is currently developing a power pack for ships.
