SKA beat Spartak in overtime and won the third victory in the Gagarin Cup playoff series
SKA St. Petersburg in overtime defeated Spartak Moscow in the fourth match of the second round of the 2022 Gagarin Cup playoff series with a score of 2:1 (0:0, 1:0, 0:1, 1:0). The meeting was held in Moscow at the stadium “Megasport”.
In the 21st minute, the striker scored the puck as part of the army team Nikita Gusev. Danila Moiseev slipped along the gate, but was forced to go to the starboard side, from where he made a pass to the center of the zone for Gusev, who sent the puck into the bottom corner of Oscar Dansk’s goal with a powerful throw.
In the 60th minute, the score was equalized by the Spartak forward Yori Lechter. Andrey Loktionov picked up the puck and passed to the far post, and Lekhterya hit the half-empty goal of Lars Johansson.
In the 13th minute of overtime, the SKA forward scored the winning goal Andrey Kuzmenko. He took the pass at the front board, left the defender on a turn, got out on a nickel and sent the puck into the far bottom corner of the goal with an uncomfortable hand.
Wards of Roman Rotenberg won the third victory in the series over Spartak after losing the first match with a score of 1:6. The next match will take place on Saturday, March 26, in St. Petersburg at the Ice Palace stadium. The start is at 17:30 Moscow time.
