Figure skater Loena Hendrickx spoke candidly in an interview with Humo about her insecurity, which she says is partly the result of a toxic relationship.

After the European Championship in 2023, according to Hendrickx, “the biggest shit period” in her life began, because “the World Cup was coming and I felt the pressure”. Pressure that she said had a hard time with. Because she was bullied in her younger years, but also because of a breakup.
“A narcissist who had me completely under his control,” says Hendrickx. “Whenever I was abroad, he accused me that I did not see him as my number one, but my sport. He always made me feel bad. Meanwhile, he cheated on me with his ex.”

Hendrickx says he has “learned a lot from it”. “When I go for someone, there is only that person. I trust them very much. But this makes me an easy victim for those who have bad intentions for me. I realize that now.”
