Pop music plays softly from the speakers under the roof of the valley station. Something with eternity, eyes and stars. Radio Burgenland. Across the street in the ski hut, the employees of the Wiesen Ski Club are having coffee. While one person is putting the plates down, the others are already figuring out how the tables need to be rearranged so that everything will fit tomorrow. Inside, in the ski hut, you wouldn’t believe that you are in the middle of Burgenland, at 340 meters above sea level. Through the window you can see directly onto the slopes, and the smell of mulled wine and perhaps schnapps still lingers in the hut. Or to put it another way, it smells like après-ski.
