Austrian ski legend Andreas “Anderl” Molterer has died in Kitzbühel at the age of 92. In the 1950s, Molterer was part of the miracle team from his hometown around Toni Sailer and Ernst Hinterseer. He celebrated an unrivaled nine victories at the Hahnenkamm races to date. In 1956, Molterer won two Olympic medals in Cortina d’Ampezzo with silver in the giant slalom and downhill bronze, and he also won gold at the World Championships three times.
