The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) together with the Cooperation Contract Contractor (KKKS) PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM) successfully implemented the onstream SWP-G LLP Liquid Debottlenecking Project in the Mahakam Working Area, East Kalimantan on April 21 2024.

“The SWP-G LLP Liquid Debottlenecking project is an important milestone as the first upstream oil and gas project to successfully go onstream in 2024 out of a total of 15 projects that we have planned,” said Hudi D. Suryodipuro, Head of the Program and Communications Division of SKK Migas on Friday (26/ 4) in Jakarta.

This project aims to optimize the performance of the LLP Booster Compressor which has been installed and onstream since early May 2021. With the successful installation of the new Liquid Transfer Pump, this project succeeded in increasing production by 5.4 billion cubic feet (BCF) of gas and 14 thousand barrels (kbbl) condensate. The new Liquid Transfer Pump is capable of accommodating a liquid rate of up to 3,600 barrels per day (BPD), an increase from the previous capacity of only 330 BPD.

“The installation of 2 new Liquid Transfer Pump units with a capacity of 2 x 2,113 BPD and 1 Diesel Engine Generator unit with a capacity of 50 kVA is an important part of this project. The onstream success of this project is expected to help fulfill the lifting target that has been set in 2024,” added Hudi .

Hudi then continued, SKK Migas hopes that the success of the SWP-G LLP Liquid Debottlenecking Project can contribute significantly to increasing national gas production. “We also continue to encourage all KKKS to continue to make maximum efforts to develop national oil and gas potential, including completing onstream projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with the established work scope,” he said.

“The development of upstream oil and gas projects such as SWP-G LLP Liquid Debottlenecking not only provides economic benefits, but also strengthens the country’s energy infrastructure and creates new job opportunities. “SKK Migas and PHM are committed to continuing to work together to maintain the performance of these projects and support the sustainable growth of the national energy sector,” concluded Hudi.
