Bratislava – On Tuesday, Slovakia commemorated investigative journalist Jan Kuciak, who was murdered five years ago, and his fiancée Martina Kusnirova. The two then 27-year-olds were shot dead on February 21, 2018 in their home in Velka Maca. At the memorial for the two murdered people in the center of Bratislava, Slovakian President Zuzana Caputova said: “Today should also serve as a reminder of the great importance the work of journalists has for democracy.”
