Slovenia and Italy: Carinthian fire-fighting helicopters in action

Fires continue to rage on the border between Italy and Slovenia, and several helicopters, including those of the Interior Ministry from Carinthia, are fighting fires. Holidaymakers from Carinthia and Styria are also concerned in Facebook groups, because the smoke regularly moved to the popular bathing resorts on the upper Adriatic – the clouds of smoke can be clearly seen from Grado and Sistiana. Sometimes you can also feel the smell of burning. The A 4 motorway is still closed, but the road is free from Udine in the direction of Lignano and Bibione.
