Amazon Echo Frames are glasses with open headphones
The Verge compares Amazon Echo Frames with Bose Frames which have the same name and are essentially glasses with built-in headphoneswhich are also essentially glasses with built-in headphones. There is therefore no augmented reality screen or camera, which only leaves the possibility of listening to music, making phone calls via the integrated microphones or making voice requests to Alexa.
The Echo Frames’ discreet appearance, which looks like normal glasses, and the different glasses models available have been praised. However, PCMag criticizes the lack of bass reproduction, due to the headphones’ open ear system. Mids and highs would be good, although wireless in-ear headphones such as the Amazon Echo Buds offer the same features, including Alexa support, at lower prices.
