Dubai: Indian players have progressed in the women’s ODI rankings of the International Cricket Council. Vice-captain Smriti Mandana has reached the eighth position in the batsmen’s rankings. She is the only Indian woman to feature in the top ten.

Australia’s Alyssa Healy is first and England’s Natalie Sheaver is second. All-rounder Deepti Sharma and opener Shafali Verma also improved. Deepti climbed two places to 29th among the batters and three places to 16th among the bowlers. Shafali Verma climbed 12 places to 36. She is fifth in Twenty20. Among the bowlers, Rajeshwari Gaekwad came in at 11th place, Meghana at 47th and Pooja Vastrarkar at 50th.
