How to create a group on Snapchat?
It is very easy to create a group on Snapchat. You just have to follow the following manipulation:
- Open the Snapchat app and go to the main screen, as if you were going to take a picture.
- Click the chat icon at the bottom of the screen or swipe right to open your chats menu.
- Click on the button to create a new chat with a friend. It’s located at the bottom right of the screen, you can’t miss it.
- Then click on ” New group“. The application will offer you several contacts to add to the group. So you can add a maximum of 100 friends.
- When you’re done selecting your friends, click ” Chat with the group ” at the bottom of the screen.
And voila, you can send a first message to tell all your friends that a new group has been created. You can then send messages, photos, videos, stickers, etc. As in a classic chat on Snapchat, all messages are deleted 24 hours after being sent or after being read. The ephemeral aspect of Snapchat is always present.
How to add a friend to a Snapchat group?
Once your group is created, you can always continue to add or invite friends to join it. Here’s how:
- Go to the Chats list screen and long press on the group chat.
- A context menu will appear. Click on ” Plus“. You will have two choices.
- You can decide to click on ” Add members to the group“. Snapchat will then redirect you to your contact list. All you have to do is select the friends you want to add to your group.
- Or you can click ” Invite via link“. Snapchat will then generate a link that you can send via WhatsApp, Messenger or any channel to invite people to your group.
Latest information: to leave a group, you must perform the same operation. Long press on the group you want to leave, click on “More” and then on “Leave group”.
