Last Monday, January 3, something happened in Florida that hadn’t happened in a long time. Snow fell!
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office posted a video on its Facebook account, showing snow falling from the sky on Lake Lorraine in the Florida Panhandle.
The video was taken “while patrolling Lowe’s parking lot in Beal by Shift B Central.”
But why did this happen?
As reported by the News 4 Jax portal, it was due to a cold front that crossed the area towards the eastern United States.
Faced with the unusual event, the sheriff’s office urged city residents to bundle up warmly and prepare for the cold temperatures.
