Jan Scherrer more tanned than ever
Third in the half-pipe at the 2021 Worlds and at the 2022 Olympics, the Saint-Gallois won another bronze medal on Friday in Georgia.
At 28, Jan Scherrer is starting to carve out a nice track record. Bronze medalist at the Beijing Olympics last year and at the 2021 Worlds, the Saint-Gallois, in silver at the last X-Games, won bronze again on Friday during the Bakuriani Worlds half-pipe event. (Georgia).
Leading the first two runs with a score of 89.25, Jan Scherrer saw two young athletes pass him in the third act of this final. It was the Korean Chauen Lee (93.50), junior world champion last year in Leysin, who won gold, at 16, ahead of the Australian Valentino Guseli (93.00), 17.
Among the women, the Swiss Isabelle Lötscher (64.00) and Berenice Wicki (52.50) finished in the last two places (7 and 8) of a final bagged by the Chinese Xuetong Cai (90.50). Olympic champion Chloe Kim announced last spring that she would skip the current season.
