Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland awarded for its sustainable and ethical solutions

“We are convinced that a solid corporate social responsibility policy is synonymous with sustainable financial performance,” declared Dorothée Chapuis, CSR manager, at the Private Banker International Swiss Awards.

Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland (SGPBS) distinguished in the “Outstanding Private Bank for Sustainable and Ethical Investment” category at the Private Banker International Swiss Awards 2022. With this award, Private Banker International values ​​the expression of a strong conviction in the way differentiation of which SGPBS exercises the business of banker.

“Faced with growing environmental and societal challenges, our clients want to give more meaning to their investments. This is why we are determined to offer a full range of solutions and strategies, dedicated to sustainable and responsible investments for private investors. We are convinced that a solid corporate social responsibility policy is synonymous with sustainable financial performance,” said Dorothée Chapuis, CSR manager and member of the Executive Committee of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland.

Different concrete elements allowed the members of the jury to reward SGPBS:

  • The integration of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria into all of the private banking investment universes in Switzerland and the ambition to align credit policy with this same principle.
  • The establishment of the “Moorea Fund – Sustainable Climate Action”, entirely dedicated to the climate. This fund is part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
  • The creation of charitable structured products whose subscription gives rise to a donation, by Societe Generale to associations.
  • Supporting clients with a series of podcasts “Understanding responsible investment” as well as a digital tool in the form of a “My sustainable future” quiz, which helps them identify their knowledge and preferences in terms of ESG.
  • Raising employee awareness through a series of training courses (e-learning, certifications, Fresque du climat, etc.).
