Macalester College Softball Stars Earn Prestigious All-Region Honors

In a remarkable testament to their athletic prowess, Macalester College’s Renee Nicholson and Tess bojorquez have been named to teh Division III All-Region IX third team by the National fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). This accolade recognizes their exceptional contributions to the team’s success this season.

Senior outfielder Renee Nicholson concluded her collegiate career with another stellar season.Nicholson batted.398, securing the sixth spot in the MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) for batting average. Her agility on the bases was also notable,as she recorded 19 stolen bases out of 23 attempts. This achievement pushed her career total to 51 stolen bases, ranking her third all-time at Macalester.
