SolarEdge Technologies, a company in the sustainable energy segment, announced this Friday (7) the launch of SolarEdge Home in Brazil, a portfolio that includes products and solutions for generating electricity through solar panels installed on the roofs of homes, format in wide rise due to the high cost-effectiveness.
According to information from the company, SolarEdge Home provides greater savings on the electricity bill, increasing the energy self-sufficiency of the residence through a method of optimizing the production, consumption and storage of solar energy captured by photovoltaic panels.
As Juliano Pereira, SolarEdge’s Country Manager in Brazil, explains, “one of the main reasons for using solar energy in homes is the reduction in electricity costs, which can lead to a 90% drop in electricity bills”, one of interesting long-term investment considering the return generated.
This result can be better used through Power Optimizers (Coupled Direct Current), equipment that stores more energy in the battery to power the house and provides backup during supply interruptions. This resource is managed through a digital platform called mySolarEdge.
In this application, homeowners can check online all the details about the metrics of generation and use of energy at the site, thereby improving data tracking. Available in single-phase applications, the SolarEdge Home Battery with a power of 5 kW and useful energy of 9.7kWh can be connected with up to three batteries per inverter, delivering energy of up to 29.1kWh to the residence, in addition to allowing synchronization with inverters
