Solidarity Cafe and Grocery Store: Providing Basic Necessities to Those in Need

2023-11-26 10:15:00

The project was born on November 30, 2022. The solidarity center of the pastoral unit of Ramillies then launched its “Parlotte café” and its solidarity grocery store : free distribution of basic necessities (fresh, dry and canned food, hygiene and cleaning products, etc. and sometimes a piece of furniture, a painting, a lamp to decorate). She helped eight households the first time, 87 households this Saturday, November 25. The needs are dire. Among the beneficiaries, we find people who come to the CPAS but also all those who do not have the blank check from the CPAS to be able to go to the parcel distributions of associations and “classic” social grocery stores: employees, self-employed people, disabled people, retirees, very young adults and older people.
