The ten finalists of Samsung’s global corporate citizenship program are young students from the public school system, who developed creative and innovative projects to solve problems and meet the demands of their local communities using the STEM approach (acronym in English for Science, Technology, Engineering its math). They are from the cities of Carnaíba (PB), Cascavel (CE), Criciúma (SC), Cuité (PB), Franca (SP), Penalva (MA), Porto Velho (ES), São Paulo do Potengi (RN), Tutóia (MA) and Vila Velha (ES).

To participate in the vote, simply access the official program website until November 26th at 11:59 pm and select the chosen project. You can vote as many times as you want. The three projects with the most votes will be the winners in the Popular Jury category. The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony scheduled for November 28th. The event will be broadcast live on program channel on YouTube from 10am (Brasília time). The three winning projects in the National Winners category will also be announced at this ceremony, which will be defined by a panel of judges for the program.

“With each passing year, Solve For Tomorrow has even more creative, innovative projects that will certainly make a difference in society. The tenth edition, in itself, is already very important for all of us, as it proves the importance of this initiative in taking these students even further. It has been operating in Brazil for ten years, enabling important changes in the lives of participants”, says Anna Karina Pinto, director of Corporate Marketing at Samsung Brazil. “We are very happy with what was presented by the finalists in 2023 and we invite everyone to participate in the voting. Choosing your favorite project is important, as they all have the potential to impact society in a positive way. We hope this is just the beginning of great success stories.”

“The Popular Jury is a very important moment in each edition, not only for choosing the winning projects, but also for publicizing the proposals. We want as many people as possible to learn about these innovative and creative initiatives carried out by students from Brazilian public schools”, says Beatriz Cortese, Executive Director of Cenpec, the organization responsible for the general coordination of Solve for Tomorrow Brasil. “Furthermore, the videos are the result of an important stage of the mentoring offered to the teams, which involves, among other aspects, communicating scientific projects.”
