Some 1,321 companies were opened under a simplified regime during the first quarter

Asunción, IP Agency.- The System for the registration of Simplified Share Companies (EAS) registered 1,321 business openings during the months of January to March; 58% more than what was registered in the same period of 2023.

Added to this are 51 companies that were opened in the forms of Public Limited Company (SA) and Limited Liability Company (SRL).

Broken down by month, the data reveals that in the month of January some 455 companies were opened under this modality, while in February a volume of 470 was reached and in March some 396 companies were opened.

Simplified Share Companies (EAS) allow the registration of legal status by a single partner who owns all the company’s shares, favoring the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) sector.

For its implementation, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) implements a unified system (Suace) that allows speeding up the times for opening and registering companies in the country. With this system a company can be opened between 72 hours to 8 days, depending on the type of registration.

Of the total number of EAS established in these first three months of the year, the service sector, especially commercial and services, leads, as well as legal, accounting, and professional association activities.
