A state of controversy arose on social networking sites due to the spread of a group of photos of a number of students from the Faculty of Media at Cairo University wearing strange and inappropriate clothes.
The pioneers of social networking sites criticized the published pictures and attributed to the students of the Faculty of Mass Communication at the university.
The photos showed students of the Faculty of Media at Cairo University dressed in costumes similar to masquerade parties, some of them appeared without clothes on the upper part of their body, and some of them appeared in open clothes.
The students wore costumes of international personalities and some Japanese anime characters, as this event was organized to learn about the art of Japanese cosplay.
Responsible sources at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University said that the university administration will take the necessary measures to hold accountable those responsible for the transgression that occurred on the part of some students.
The sources added, in a special statement to Masrawy, today, Saturday, that there were some of those present at the party from outside the college and not affiliated with it.
And the sources continued: We encourage students and activities, but with full commitment to the norms and traditions of the university.
