Son-in-law kills entrepreneur Myriam Ullens outside her Lasne residence

According to the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office, Myriam Ullens, an entrepreneur residing in Ohain village in Lasne, was shot and killed. The culprit was identified as Nicolas Ullens, her son-in-law, who fired several shots at her and her husband while they were in their car in front of their house. Myriam died on the spot, while her husband managed to escape unharmed. Apparently, Nicolas had been in a long-standing legal dispute with the victim over his inheritance. The crime scene was handled by the federal judicial police’s lab, a medical examiner, and a ballistics expert. The suspect was arrested, and the case was handed over to an investigating judge.

Myriam Ullens, an entrepreneur living in the village of Ohain, in the entity of Lasne, was shot dead, we learned from the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office.

It was his son-in-law, Nicolas Ullens, born in 1965, who fired a gun this Wednesday morning around 10 a.m. in front of the property where his father and stepmother live.

The 50-year-old fired four bullets into the head of Myriam Ullens, born in 1952. She was in a car, alongside her husband. When paramedics arrived, the victim was already dead.

Myriam and Nicolas Ullens had been in open conflict for several years over inheritance issues.

The alleged killer deprived of liberty

The laboratory of the federal judicial police, a medical examiner, a magistrate and a ballistics expert descended on the scene.

The alleged killer was deprived of his liberty and must be heard during the afternoon of Wednesday. An investigating judge has been seized of the case.

The investigation was entrusted to the federal judicial police of Walloon Brabant.
