SEGA announced a brand new Sonic the Hedgehog game at the Summer Game Fest Showcase. Sonic Superstars Coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S this fall, Nintendo Switch and PC and will include local co-op for up to four players.
Sonic Superstars is a classic 2D game, but relies on new game mechanics and a new look. Players can choose between Sonic and his friends Tails, Knuckles and Amy.
Sonic Superstars appears both digitally and as a physical retail version. Last year SEGA with Sonic Origins and Sonic Frontiers about our favorite hedgehog and we were delighted when another brand new 2D Sonic title was unveiled as part of the Summer Game Fest and is scheduled for release later this year.
Sonic Superstars should offer a modern adaptation of the classic game principle and comes with a fresh look. An exact release date is not yet known. As always, Nintendo Connect will keep you up to date with the latest news!
