The owners of PlayStation 5 can have the opportunity to play the classic franchise God of War in the future. At least, that’s what the recent rumors are about. As said Nick Bakerdo site Xbox Erathe collection of games with the old version of Kratos may arrive in remastered form on the PS5 at some point.
This topic was addressed during the event “Grubbsmas Oftentaltacular” and, unfortunately, no relevant details were said about this possibility. Therefore, all we have so far are rumors with several uncertainties regarding a possible release of the classic trilogy for Sony’s desktop console. Baker further explained that:
I, for a long time, have been someone who lamented the direction God of War took, and longed for the original God of War hack-and-slash games. I just love them so much.
Something that will probably happen in the case of a remaster is the non-inclusion of the game Ascension, the last in the series released for the PS3. The games released for the PSP were not mentioned, and, therefore, there are even more uncertainties regarding a movement of this type.
Another point that should be taken into consideration is the gameplay style, as the old hack-in-slash attracts the most nostalgic players. So, it is not yet possible to know whether there will be a change in this format or whether it will be maintained. Likewise, there is a chance that it will be an improved version of the set released for PS3 and PS Vita.
