Sony Interactive Entertainment has unveiled Project Q, a portable streaming device that will stream PlayStation 5 gameplay to a dedicated screen via Wi-Fi.
According to a brief presentation shown at the PlayStation Showcase event, the device features an 8-inch 1080p screen, flanked by two “halves” of a standard DualSense controller with all function buttons.
Project Q is “a special device that allows you to stream any game from your PS5 console using the Remote Play feature over Wi-Fi.”
All details will appear in the near future.
Also announced are Sony’s first wireless in-ear headphones that will bring “next-generation audio immersion to PlayStation 5 and PC.” They can be connected to phones via Bluetooth.
Release dates and prices for the devices are not named. Project Q is a code name within a Japanese corporation – the final name will likely be different.
