Presented in September last year by Sony, the Xperia 5 V had the brand officially confirming the start of distribution of the latest version of the operating system, taking the device to the group of devices that benefit from Android 14.
According to information published on the brand’s Instagram profile, the main highlights of this update are the availability of the “Flash notifications” function, which uses the camera’s flash or the screen to notify the user about notifications and alarms and compatibility with “Find my device” , allowing you to find, block and delete content remotely.
Additionally, Sony also confirmed the expansion of the “Nearby Share” function to transfer files on Windows PCs without the need for cables, thus facilitating storage management even when you forget your cable at home.
Finally, the brand also mentioned customizing the lock screen with shortcuts. Although not mentioned, the update is also expected to deliver improvements in the performance and security of the Xperia 5 V, however, it is not mentioned which patch is included in this update or its size.
