soon a bad memory in Mali? – MALI24

As part of the current April 2023 Ordinary Session, a plenary session of the National Transitional Council was held this Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in the Djéli Baba SISSOKO room of the Bamako International Conference Center with a single point registered at the agenda.

This is the bill ratifying the loan agreement, signed in Lomé on March 30, 2023, between the Government of the Republic of Mali and the West African Development Bank (BOAD) for the partial financing of the program clearance of the debt of strategic suppliers of the company Énergie du Mali-sa (EDM-SA).

Following a vote, the said bill was adopted by the plenary with 138 votes for, 00 against and 01 abstention. As a reminder, this bill initiated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was adopted by the Council of Ministers at its meeting of April 05, 2023.

Are we heading towards the end of load shedding? In any case, it appears that this financing agreement will contribute, among other things, to the development of manufacturing activities as well as to the improvement of the living conditions of the population. But also to improving access to quality electricity services. This is good news for the Malian populations who have been experiencing for some time, untimely cuts that cause ink and saliva to flow.
