LONDON – Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party is headed for a historic defeat in local elections in England. By early Friday evening, the Tories had already lost around 770 local council seats. This made it clear that the opposition party Labor is the strongest force at local level in the country for the first time since 2002. It gained around 400 seats.
