Sothema’s consolidated turnover (turnover) stood at 1.15 billion dirhams (MDH) during the first half of 2022, an improvement of 18.2% compared to the same period a year earlier.

This increase is explained by the solid contribution of the commercial achievements of the subsidiary West Afric Pharma, whose sales volume in the 2nd quarter (Q2) 2022 shows an increase of 16.9% compared to Q2 2021, specifies the pharmaceutical group in a communicated on its quarterly indicators.

EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) and EBITDA increased by 28.2% and 25% respectively compared to June 2021 , thus reflecting, according to the same source, commercial performance and efficiency gains to create more operational growth.

In the second quarter of 2022 alone, net debt improved by 11.3% reaching 118 MDH once morest 133 MDH at the end of June 2021, underlines Sothema.

The group committed an envelope of 14 MDH during the first six months of the current year, an increase of 7 MDH compared to the first half of last year, said the press release, noting that the Gearing has reached, to him, 13.4%, which remains low and reflects the significant debt capacity enabling Sothema to achieve its ambitious objectives.
