South Tyrol’s Girls Team Shines at ARGE Alp Table Tennis Pilot Event
Bozen, Italy – The picturesque city of bozen played host to the inaugural ARGE Alp Sport project’s table tennis pilot event from June 20-22, 2025. The event, a resounding success, showcased the talent and sportsmanship of young athletes from across the Alpine region, with the South Tyrol girls’ team emerging as champions.
Organized by ASV TT South Tyrol,the tournament took place in the dedicated table tennis hall of the sports zone rectory in Bolzano. The competitions featured both individual and double games in a team format, encompassing both girls’ and boys’ categories. Their dominance was evident as they triumphed in all three of their matches: a decisive 3/0 victory against Trentino, another 3/0 win against Bavaria, and a hard-fought 2/1 victory against Lombardy.

Boys’ Team Battles to Sixth Place
The South Tyrol boys’ team, featuring Gabriel Viglianti, Filippo Rossetto, and Jan Leonhard Bucci, and guided by coach Vincenzo Delli Carri, faced tough competition, ultimately finishing in sixth place. Despite their best efforts, they suffered narrow defeats against Trentino (1/2), Lombardy (0/3), Bavaria (0/3), Salzburg (1/2), and Tirol (1/2). They secured a 3/0 victory against Tirol 2.
