SPA: Saudi and American officials have signed 18 cooperation agreements

The Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”, reported that US and Saudi officials signed 18 agreements and memoranda of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, investment, communications, space and health.

According to the report provided by the agency, the agreements were signed on the sidelines of US President Joe Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia on Friday.

The two sides signed 13 agreements between the Saudi Ministries of Energy and Investment, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, with a number of private American companies such as Boeing, Raytheon Defense Industries, Medtronic, Digital Diagnostics, IKVIA in the healthcare sector, and other companies specializing in the fields of Energy, tourism, education, manufacturing and textiles.

The Saudi Space Authority and the US space agency “NASA” signed the “Artemis” agreement to explore the moon and Mars, and join the international coalition in this field for peaceful purposes.

The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology signed a memorandum of cooperation with IBM to qualify 100,000 young men and women over five years, as part of eight initiatives. .

The two sides signed a partnership agreement in the fields of clean energy, including cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

The Saudi and US ministries of health signed a memorandum of cooperation in the fields of public health, medical sciences and research.

Earlier on Friday, the United States and Saudi Arabia issued a joint statement, in which they affirmed the strengthening of their common interests and advancing a common vision for achieving more peace and security, leading to a prosperous and stable Middle East.
