The actor said in an interview with former GB News presenter Dan Wootton, echoed by the media this Saturday, that he will not remain silent in the face of new criticism, before the documentary is broadcast in two parts on the 6th and May 7th.

The documentary, titled ‘Spacey Unmasked’ (Spacey Unmasked), features testimonies from men about events they say took place between 1976 and 2013, and relate to what they describe as Spacey’s unwanted sexual behavior, media reports.

Last year, the American actor was acquitted of a series of sexual crimes alleged by four men between 2001 and 2013 after a trial in London, and also won a civil lawsuit in the United States in October 2022, after being accused of a sexual advance unwanted at a party in 1986.

“I take full responsibility for my past behavior and actions, but I cannot and will not accept responsibility or apologize to anyone who has made things up about me or exaggerated stories about me.”Spacey, 64, told Wootton, a presenter who has launched an independent platform ‘danwoottonoutspoken’.

“I have never told someone that if they do me sexual favors, I will help them in their career, ever. I have clearly hooked up with some men who thought they could advance their careers if they were in a relationship with me. But there was no conversation with me, it was all part of his plan, a plan that was always destined to fail, because I was not involved in the deal.he claimed.

During the interview, Spacey denied allegations of any illegal behavior and also referenced the progress of other men’s careers.

“Were there times when I was flirting with some of the people who were on those shows who were in their twenties? Yes”, Have I ever been involved with another actor? Yeah. Did I make a clumsy overture to someone who, as it turned out, wasn’t interested? Yeah. But I wasn’t employing them, I wasn’t their boss, I often just swam for an hour here or there like a well-known actor to provide support… to answer questions,” he said.

“It was not illegal, and it has never been claimed that it was illegal”he added.

Spacey admitted that he has had difficulty returning to work after being acquitted of all criminal charges and described his experience as a “life sentence.”

On Thursday, the actor claimed he had “repeatedly requested” that Channel 4 give him more than seven days to respond to allegations made about him in his documentary but that the broadcaster refused.
