Seville managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Spanish Football Cup, by defeating its host Deportivo Alaves, 1-0, in the round of 16.

Seville managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Spanish Football Cup, by defeating its host Deportivo Alaves, 1-0, in the round of 16.

After a negative first half between the two teams, Sevilla managed to score with the goal of Croatian Ivan Rakitic in the 48th minute.

With this result, the Andalusian team qualified for the quarter-finals, to catch up with Real Sociedad who had also qualified by beating Real Mallorca 1-0.
