Barcelona – The Spanish football association RFEF has called on the head of the association, Luis Rubiales, who has been heavily criticized for his abusive behavior towards national player Jenni Hermoso, to resign. Following a meeting of RFEF regional presidents, a statement on Monday said they called for Rubiales’ “immediate” resignation following his “unacceptable behavior.” This had “seriously damaged the image of Spanish football”.
