Speed ​​skater Herzog in Calgary over 1,000 m third

Speed ​​skater Vanessa Herzog underpinned her excellent form at the World Cup in Calgary/Canada with a podium finish over 1,000 m. The 27-year-old finished third on Sunday with a time of 1:13.565 minutes, missing her five-year-old record by just over a tenth of a second. Victory went to Jutta Leerdam from the Netherlands (1:12.828), while Herzog was only three hundredths of a second behind American Kimi Goetz.

Most recently, Herzog had finished ninth in the 1,000 m in Heerenveen with a time of 1:15.312 minutes. In Calgary, following coming second in the 500m, she made it onto the podium for the second time. Herzog and Co. will also be on duty in Canada next week.
